The full-size executive car, Audi A5 is manufactured by German Car maker Audi, since its introduction in 2007. It is offered in two body forms, the cabriolet and two-door coupe. The Audi A5 is a successor model to Audi A4. The major competitors to the model include Mercedes Benz CLK coupe, BMW E92 and BMW 3 series convertible and coupe.

First Generation (2007-Present)

The first generation Audi A5 was released as a replacement to the fourth generation Audi A4 model. It is designed and produced based on the platform of MLP from Audi.

Next to Audi R8 and second generation Audi TT, the Audi A5 is the third coupe model offered by Audi. The A5 model also shares most of the design cues from the Nuvolari Quattro concept. It comes powered by a 3.2 liter FSI V6 engine that delivers power up to 261 hp.

Audi A5 Cabriolet (2009-Present)

The Audi A5 Cabriolet model has been introduced in the model year 2009 and it comes with fabric roof rather than retractable hardtop. The powertrain to the model is 3.0 liter TFSI supercharged version that delivers more power than the standard engine. The only transmission available to the engine is 7-speed S Tronic, which replaced the 6-speed Tiptronic.
